A big day!

Hi everyone!
We met our daughter today!! She is perfect and engaging and funny and smart and such a gift. It's not everyday that a girl has a birthday and gets a new mom and dad all in the same day. She let me put her to sleep tonight which was incredible. From the minute I saw her I can't even explain in words how I felt. Tonight I can't even put into the words the way I feel. I will put pictures on later, but for now I have to go to sleep so I can get up at 5:55 (4:55 our time) with our little early bird.

Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers. We have felt them for sure!

Valerie and Aaron,

I am praying for you and your whole family as you are apart, and especially when you come back together and begin the transition of having a new sibling in the house. Safe travels and I will continue to pray for you. Jane (Not always a lurker, but always anonymous)

Valerie, Aaron, Jonah, and Lydia,

Congratulations. She is amazingly beautiful and yes she is a gift. But you are all a gift to her as well. And an amazing gift you are to her. Shannon's post on your blog got me thinking of why I have always been drawn to Valerie and knew you were special. It is your gift of hospitality for sure. You have a way of making everyone feel welcome, special, and important. Now you will pass this on to that beautiful baby girl. Your family is a gift to her.
